The first excursion of the dining group was held here. It was very welcoming with a pleasant decor and lots of leather chairs and sofas where it was comfortable to sit and drink an aperitif or beer before the meal, and to sit and take a coffee afterwards, without any hassle. Ideal for taking a Sunday lunch and soaking up the Sunday newspapers. The downside was the meal itself, a buffet carvery at which the Soup, Meats and Vegetables were generally agreed to be of poor quality and their presentation was haphazard. The pricing was very modest at £8.45 The quality of the food let Jurys Inn down to the extent that although such a pleasant venue it could not be given more than **

* Overall poor quality, ambiance, and value for money. Not recommended
** Average, with some drawbacks
*** Good value for money with no major drawback
